Have an idea for a new rule/recipe?

Add it to the comments below and the one that gets the most thumbs up becomes a new recipe and will hopefully be included in the next printing of the book. (Please oh please let there be a second printing.)

I have my rule framed on my desk: “Look beyond the immediate”

It helps remember the future, not get caught up by what’s happening right now, and realize that solution for today might not be what’s needed in the a few days, weeks, months.

Another rule: Take personal profit out of the equation. Now estimate the magnified impact of your idea. And go for it.

My key rule to add is: “Start cooking!” Too often we delay and postpone the improvement for no worthy reasons at all. “Get started and learn, every day a little better.”

I believe that there are 2 kinds of working product + mkt together:
    1. Mkt inside the product itself
    2. Product inside the mkt

what the book brings is number 1.
Number 2 happens when we create a especific product just for the sake of mkt positioning to sell another (final) product or brand. It’s kind of like a campaing wrapped by a product consumers can buy and experience the message about the final brand and the final and real product.

Remember the beauty of nature and let it influence you. Nature is God’s perfect design. Whenever I’m drawing (or just thinking of ideas) in a room, my ideas are good. But as soon as I’m outside and let the natural forms and aesthetics of nature influence me in real time, it’s like I am able to tap into a new powerful energy. Sometimes we spend too much time inside. Spend at least 2 hours a week in a natural scene and think about your product and ideas. Let the sounds and sights around you influence your thoughts. The setting alone will allow you to feel calm, allowing new, free ideas to form.
